Meet Randa

This is Randa Roberts. She is the designer-maker behind So Comfy Designs.

In 2010 her life was busy with a young family and a challenging career. After it became evident that work/life balance was not in sync, a decision was made to become a stay at home mom. This path allowed her to reignite her creativity and turn a lifelong sewing hobby into a little business. Eventually she had assistance writing a business plan, and in 2012 So Comfy Designs emerged.

The first collections were made from t-shirts and sweaters which came free from friends and family. Since everything was upcycled, it was naturally “So Comfy!” Eventually Randa grew a small winter collection, and a bag collection, all made from upcycled materials. She loves the challenge of designing and making quality pieces from materials that are destined for the landfills.

From the beginning, So Comfy’s mission has been to create one of a kind clothing and accessories from upcycled materials, always focusing on quality, customer service, and minimal impact on the environment. Everything is handmade, by Randa, at her home studio in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.

Apart from growing So Comfy Designs, Randa loves spending time with her husband and watching their two sons grow up. If she’s not sewing, you can often find her on frequent walk breaks with her best friend and faithful companion, Walker.
